Overview
M&A Watch is a student-founded and led organisation. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for university students to gain their first experience in M&A through producing high-quality reports on some of history’s most impactful deals. Over time, we hope to create a comprehensive database covering the key points of these transactions to unlock key insights into the factors which influence the success and failures of deals.

What we do
Strategic Deal Reports
We analyse today’s most significant transactions through the lens of strategy, valuation and risk. Our Strategic Deal Reports cover live deals as they unfold, assessing the strategic intent, financial rationale and market implications that define the modern M&A landscape. Analysts gain the opportunity to demonstrate leadership and perform valuations on complex, real-world transactions, building experience that mirrors professional deal teams.
Training & Mentoring
All members receive access to an exclusive five-week course covering accounting, valuation and deal strategy. This training is reinforced by ongoing mentorship from students and alumni who have secured positions at CVC, Evercore, Latham & Watkins and other leading firms, ensuring members develop both the technical and professional edge required for top-tier roles.
Legal Reports
Law is constantly evolving. In our Legal Reports on landmark M&A deals, we explore cases that led to new legislation, examine how these laws have evolved and assess if changes are needed.
